DVA Exercise Physiologist Parramatta
Gold and White Card holders welcome
At Tailored Exercise Physiology, we provide personalised, evidence-based exercise services for Australian veterans through the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA). If you are looking for a trusted DVA exercise physiologist in Parramatta or surrounding suburbs, we’re here to support you.
We understand the unique challenges veterans face when it comes to managing chronic pain, mobility, strength, mental health and overall independence. As an accredited exercise physiologist, I work closely with eligible DVA clients to develop safe, effective programs that support long-term health, rehabilitation and quality of life.
Whether you’re recovering from injury, living with a chronic condition or simply want to improve your fitness and confidence, our DVA exercise physiology services are tailored to your goals and capacity.
Who Can Access DVA Exercise Physiology?
To access DVA-funded exercise physiology services, you must be referred by a GP through the DVA referral system (typically using form D904) or speak with AusVeterans to find out if your eligible. You also need to hold one of the following cards:
- DVA Gold Card: Covers treatment for all medical conditions, regardless of whether they are service-related.
- DVA White Card: Covers treatment for specific, approved service-related conditions.
If you are not sure whether your condition qualifies, speak with your GP or contact DVA directly. We are also happy to assist you and your healthcare team with the referral process.
Once approved, you can receive regular sessions with a DVA-accredited exercise physiologist at no out-of-pocket cost.

What Is DVA Exercise Physiology?
DVA exercise physiology involves using structured, therapeutic exercise to support the physical and mental health needs of veterans. It is delivered by university-qualified, ESSA-accredited exercise physiologists with expertise in chronic disease management, injury rehabilitation, and preventative care.
As a DVA exercise physiologist, my role is to assess your current health status, design a tailored movement plan, and help you build strength, improve mobility and function, and manage symptoms such as pain, fatigue or poor balance.
Programs are built around your specific needs and may include:
- Strength and resistance training
- Balance and falls prevention
- Cardiovascular fitness
- Mobility and flexibility work
- Pain management strategies
- Post-operative rehabilitation
- Mental health support through movement
- Functional capacity building for daily life

Local, Trusted Support for Veterans
Our clinic is based in North Parramatta, with DVA exercise physiology services available across surrounding suburbs including Oatlands, North Rocks, Northmead, Westmead, Harris Park, Merrylands, Granville and greater Western Sydney.
We offer both clinic-based and in-home sessions depending on your needs and level of mobility. Some of our DVA clients prefer to come into the clinic, while others feel more comfortable starting with home visits. We’re happy to accommodate either.
We take the time to build trust, get to know your story, and work with you at a pace that feels safe and sustainable. Whether you’re looking to regain independence, return to sport or just move with less pain, we’re here to help.
How It Works
Getting started with DVA exercise physiology is a straightforward process. Here’s what to expect:
GP Referral
Ask your GP for a referral to exercise physiology through the DVA scheme (using form D904). They’ll help determine if your condition is eligible for treatment under your Gold or White Card.
Initial Assessment
Your first session includes a full assessment of your medical history, functional movement, goals and current limitations. We also review your DVA coverage and set a realistic plan.
Tailored Exercise Program
Based on your assessment, we’ll design a safe, progressive program that reflects your goals — whether that’s reducing falls risk, improving joint strength or staying independent at home.
Ongoing Sessions and Support
We’ll work together regularly, adjusting your program as needed. We also provide ongoing communication with your GP and support team as part of your DVA care.
